There's a girl who is very strong and independent. She gives off the impression that she's tough and can handle anything this world has to offer. But if you look beneath the surface, you find someone who has been hurt and who is quite fragile. She has trouble handling relationships because of her past.
There's a guy who is gentle and funny. People like him. He comes across the girl's path and the two start up a relationship. It is one that is a roller coaster of emotions. The guy is never sure how the girl is going to react or behave. But he sees the hurt in the girl and he wants to be there for her, to try to help her and to love her.
This is the scenario for the Korean film, 'My Sassy Girl', which catapulted the Korean actress, Jeon Ji Hyun, into the realm of super-stardom all over Asia. The film is based on a true story, which was contained in 33 entries that a guy put on the Internet recounting his experience with the girl. The film has been so popular that it has spawned a number of remakes in other countries. It is currently being remade in Hollywood, starring Elisha Cuthbert and Jesse Bradford and is due out this November.
By the way, this is the film that my current computer wallpaper is from.
Here is the music video, 'Canon In D', from the film. (3:27)
